The Flight Attendant role is crucial in upholding FlySafair’s operational safety standards and ensuring an enjoyable and professional travel experience for every passenger. Reporting to the Cabin Services Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Ensuring consistent compliance with South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) and FlySafair safety protocols
• Efficient execution of in-flight duties to provide a smooth and comfortable experience
• Promoting high standards of passenger care and hospitality at all times
• Displaying professionalism and a strong sense of integrity throughout service
• Assisting in emergency situations with calmness, competence, and authority
• Maintaining a high level of administrative and procedural compliance
• Representing the airline with pride and delivering quality service that aligns with FlySafair’s brand promise

To qualify for this prestigious opportunity with FlySafair, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
• Current and valid SACAA Cabin Crew Licence (non-negotiable)
• Valid Avmed DD50 Medical Certificate
• Certified in Dangerous Goods Handling
• Valid Ditching Certificate
• Certified in Fire Fighting Procedures
• Level 4 English Language Proficiency
• Must be medically fit and able to swim
• Valid South African driver’s license and own motor vehicle (non-negotiable)
• Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Availability for early morning departures and late evening sign-offs

This role requires absolute punctuality, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the operational demands of the aviation sector.

As a Flight Attendant at FlySafair, your responsibilities will include:

• Passenger Safety: Ensuring the safety of all passengers by adhering to aviation regulations, conducting safety demonstrations, and being prepared to manage emergency procedures
• In-Flight Service: Providing warm, professional, and efficient onboard service to meet the diverse needs of passengers
• Cabin Preparation: Conducting thorough checks to ensure the aircraft cabin is ready for boarding and meets all operational standards
• Compliance Monitoring: Keeping up to date with operational changes, new safety regulations, and airline policies
• Crisis Management: Responding calmly and effectively to any in-flight incidents, including medical emergencies or disruptive passengers
• Communication: Acting as the key liaison between the flight deck and the cabin, ensuring clear and effective communication at all times
